1. Scope and Acceptance

By creating an account, accessing, or using Laman, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Service Description

Laman is a web platform for creating, editing, previewing, and publishing static web projects (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), including project previews, shareable routes, and account-scoped project management.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for activity on your account and for protecting your authentication method. You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Your Content and Responsibilities

You retain ownership of the original content you create on Laman. You are solely responsible for what you build, upload, preview, and publish, including compliance with applicable laws and third-party rights.

You represent that you have the rights needed to use and publish all content in your projects, including code, media, and other assets.

If you mark a template as public, it may be visible and used by other users subject to the template licensing terms in Section 6. Private templates are intended to remain available only to your account unless you explicitly share access.

5. Published Projects and Public Access

When you publish a project, it may be publicly accessible via project routes. You are responsible for reviewing your project before publication and for unpublishing content that should not be public.

Unpublished projects are intended to remain private to your account, except where access is explicitly granted (for example, time-limited preview links).

6. Template Ownership and Licensing

Templates created and uploaded by users ("Creator Templates") are the intellectual property of their respective creators. The following terms govern the use of templates on Laman:

6.1 Creator Rights. Template creators retain full copyright ownership over the template structure, design, code, and associated assets they contribute to Laman. Publishing a template to the platform does not constitute a transfer of ownership.

6.2 Limited License for Public Templates. When a creator marks a template as public, they grant other Laman users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that template solely to create derivative projects within the Laman platform. This license does not permit:

• reproducing, redistributing, or reselling the template or its source code outside the platform;
• claiming authorship or ownership of a template created by another user;
• removing, altering, or obscuring any attribution, watermark, or copyright notice embedded in the template;
• using the template to create competing template products or services.

6.3 Private Templates. Private templates are not licensed for use by any third party. Accessing, copying, or reproducing a private template without the creator's explicit written consent constitutes a violation of these Terms and may infringe applicable copyright law.

6.4 Output Ownership. Projects generated or cloned from a template belong to the user who created them, subject to the licensing restrictions of the source template. Generated output (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) produced through Laman's builder carries an embedded attribution identifying the platform and, where applicable, the originating template creator. Users must not remove or alter this attribution.

6.5 Embedded Watermarks. Output files produced by Laman may contain embedded attribution metadata or watermarks identifying the source template, creator, and platform. Removal or alteration of such watermarks is prohibited and may constitute an infringement of copyright.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use Laman to:

• violate laws or regulations;
• distribute malware, phishing content, or harmful scripts;
• infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, including the copyright of template creators;
• reproduce, scrape, or systematically extract template source code from the platform;
• circumvent technical measures designed to protect templates or platform content;
• abuse, overload, or disrupt platform infrastructure;
• attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.

8. Copyright Infringement and DMCA

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been reproduced on Laman without authorization, you may submit a notice of claimed infringement to the Laman team through official support channels. Please include:

• identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
• identification of the infringing content and its location on the platform;
• your contact information;
• a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized.

We will respond to valid notices in accordance with applicable law and may remove infringing content or suspend responsible accounts.

9. Platform Intellectual Property

The platform, branding, interface, builder engine, and service components of Laman are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of platform IP to you. The Laman logo, name, and visual identity may not be reproduced without prior written permission.

10. Service Changes and Availability

We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. Service availability is not guaranteed and may be affected by maintenance, outages, or third-party dependencies.

11. Termination or Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, including any provision related to template intellectual property, create platform risk, or engage in abusive behavior. You may stop using the service at any time.

12. Disclaimer

Laman is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Laman and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the service after updates become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
